Howard Altschule has been a meteorologist for more than 28 years and is the CEO of Forensic Weather Consultants, one of the largest weather expert firms in the country. He holds the coveted "Certified Consulting Meteorologist” designation from the American Meteorological Society. Howard has consulted on more than 8,000 insurance claims and lawsuits, testified approximately 110 times in various courts around the country, and has been deposed more than 110 times. Howard and his company have had many court decisions citing their affidavits and work as weather experts and Forensic Meteorologists. Howard's expertise includes working on a wide variety of cases and claims including those involving Wind Damage, Hailstorms, Hurricane Wind (or Wind v. Storm Surge) cases, Tornado Cases, Flooding, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Boating Incidents, Slip and Fall on Snow/Ice claims, and many others.
Howard is a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and a Officer/Board of Director with the Association of Certified Meteorologists. He was previously appointed to the New York State Governor’s Panel on Homeowner Insurance Coverage and is a continuing education instructor for the insurance and legal industry.
