After stints in academia and general contracting, Jeremiah entered the insurance space during the chaotic 2005 hurricane season. He quickly found in claims handling a perfect companion for his core skill set and enjoyed the freedom to excel independently. After establishing himself as a respected EGA for multiple firms and carriers having successfully handled nearly 10,000 assignments across a wide swath of the property claims spectrum, his ambitions broadened in 2017 to building his own firm to fill the underserved independent complex claims adjustment and consulting space.

A strong desire to push the claims sector into modernity led to his founding Deft Group in early 2018. Through its B2B facing entities, Deft Claims and Deft Consultants, his organization continues to reinvent the complex property claims handling space by fearlessly and unapologetically innovating while never losing track of industry leading customer service. Through Deft Group, Jeremiah is confident in supporting the settlement of the most complex of property claims often from the point of policy inception by re-bridging the long-siloed underwriting and claims camps.
