I have been heavily involved in the Appraisal process since 1985 as both an Appraiser and Umpire. However, since 2006, I only serve as an unbiased Umpire following selection by participating Appraisers or appointment through the court system. I have been selected as Umpire on over 2,500 Appraisals throughout the Midwest and Southeast with numerous appointments by District, State and Federal courts.

During my career I adjusted all lines of property insurance claims from basic homeowners to multi-million-dollar commercial property losses. I was the Property Claims Director of a large Third-Party Administrator for Certain Underwriters at Lloyd’s, London, and supervised over 30,000 catastrophe losses from Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Jeanne, and Ivan. I am a Past President of the WIND Network. I am also an instructor for the WIND Network’s Umpire Certification & Recert classes and have been for over 22 years. I co-wrote and have presented the Appraiser Certification & Recert classes as well. I have been qualified as an expert witness in the Circuit Courts of Orange, Brevard, Seminole, and Lee Counties.
